About Cullison Excavating, LLC

Cullison Excavating, LLC is a small business in St. Mary’s County, owned and operated by the Cullison family for generations. Clayton “Ed” Cullison Sr. was well regarded in the area for his high-quality work and fair pricing dating back to the 1960s when the business was known as Cullison & Son. From the age of 6, Clayton “Eddie” Cullison Jr. accompanied his father to job sites. Eddie became a certified septic installer in St. Mary’s County at 16, purchased his first dump truck at 18, and acquired his Commercial Driver’s License as soon as possible.

Eddie’s journey in the business has been one of hands-on learning and growth. Working alongside his father, he gained extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of excavation and septic work. His involvement in various projects has given him a deep understanding of many properties and systems in the area. In 2007, Ed passed the torch to Eddie, who established Cullison Excavating, LLC. In 2015, Eddie’s wife, Jessica, took over the phone operations and established the office staff. The business, which started as a two-person team, has now grown to an eight-person team. Over the past 9 years, Cullison Excavating, LLC has steadily expanded, providing honest and high-quality service to Southern Maryland.

At Cullison Excavating, LLC, we are a small, family-run business with eight full-time employees. Our highly trained crew includes four licensed installers in St. Mary’s County and Calvert with certifications in sand mound installation and BAT installations. We are all active members of multiple professional associations and comply with all local and state regulations.
